"Yellow Ball" by Molly Bang

"A young boy plays with a yellow beach ball at the seaside. Bored with the game, he eventually turns away and the ball drifts out to sea. Readers follow the adventures of the ball from one side of the ocean to the other, where it finds a home with another young boy. " ~ Ebay product description

The story is illustrated in pastels (chalk), so Aubrey duplicated the cover picture with her chalk.  She also did the lapbook lessons from Homeschool Share and writing and word search from First-School.

The Georgia Aquarium would have been a great place for our field trip so we could look at ocean life like what the yellow ball saw at sea, but we had to settle for a visit to our local pet store this time to look at small fish and wildlife  (plus some other fun animals, too).

It was feeding time for the snakes - - yuck!

Can't you just hear Addison squealing at the site of the puppy Dachshund?
